AH4 Ultra-light Howitzer’s Response Accuracy Superior Than American

In the 11^th Aerospace Expo held in Zhuhai on Nov. 1^st, AH4 155 mm ultra-light howitzer was displayed in the indoor Weapons Museum.

The Chinese army use the large-caliber long barrel, launching with the semicolon drug package, so as to use the large elevation and to play the low stretched trajectory. Combining with howitzer and cannon, they are both classified as howitzer.

AH4 ultra-light howitzer is the first time for China to use titanium alloy in large-caliber gun. Compared with the US-made M777, there is a difference between them: AH4 has not adopted the complex and large scale of titanium alloy casting.

The cradle of AH4 ultra-light howitzer cradle is made by (the main body structure, combined with anti-recoil device as a whole) using casting and welding technology, which reduces manufacture costs and technical difficulties. The weight of the gun is stability 4.2 ton while it is shaping, only 300 km more than that for the US-made 3.9 ton M777 howitzer.

In order to increase the lethality of guns, tungsten alloy with high tensile strength and excellent penetration is a good choice.

Compared with M777A2, AH4 ultra-light howitzer is much easier to operate and has a much higher accuracy of adjustment. It can also be adjusted by automatic control, release the fire quickly, which improves the combat capability and artillery viability greatly.

AH4 ultra-light howitzer can automatically adjust, target and fire, its response accuracy is superior than the US-made M777A2.
