The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimated that in 2025, 2.8 billion people in the world will be lacking of drinking water. For this reason, in 2015, Japan had developed a new photocatalytic purification technology, which is expected to solve the problem of thirsty of world's 2.8 billion people.
