Tungsten ore is an important non renewable strategic resource. Under the new normal state, the exploration of mineral resources in China is facing unprecedented challenges. A series of deep-seated contradictions, such as the structure of mineral resources, the total amount and the layout of mineral resources, are becoming more and more serious. The difficulty of surface prospecting is rising, and the resource crisis of large and medium scale mines is highlighted. It is self-evident that it is necessary and urgent to find new tungsten mines. This is a great joy for us. In recent years, the new tungsten mine exploration and prospecting achievements have been reported to us in recent years, of which the prospects for Zhu Xiwu copper and Nanling are the most worthy of expectation.
First of all, we have recently made new progress in the prospecting work of the Zhu Xi tungsten copper deposit in Fuliang, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi. In 2015, the 912 team of Jiangxi provincial geological and mining bureau successfully found the world's largest tungsten mine in the Fuliang Prefecture Zhu Xi area (30-78 line), 2 million 860 thousand tons of 333+334 WO3 resources, accompanied by medium-sized copper mines and large silver mines.
Zhuxi tungsten copper prospects have good prospects and high grades. Since the establishment of the project in 2010, the Zhuxi periphery census project has entered the seventh year, and still has great potential and many unknown waiting research teams to explore. The Zhuxi tungsten copper deposit is different from the traditional skarn deposit. The traditional skarn-type tungsten ore is mainly produced near the medium-acidic granite and carbonate rock contact zone, and the ore deposit is generally small in scale. The Zhuxi skarn type tungsten-copper deposit is influenced by the combination of stratum, magmatic hydrothermal fluid, and structural triple factors. It is produced not only near the contact zone of the rock mass, but also mainly in carbonates on the external contact interface of the rock mass. In the rock, it appears like a layered output. The deposit is large in scale and rich in grade, forming a unique Zhuxi-style skarn deposit.
In the past, the September 12th Battalion found a near-50-meter-wide copper-tungsten mineralization in the discovery of the No. 42 exploration line in the mining area. It boldly adopted the “indicating veins” and “probe ore-finding” methods, focusing on the 42-line profile drilling. As an important measure, the successful discovery of a thick scheelite body has broken the deadlock. Since then, exploration of the ore bodies on both sides of the 42nd line has been systematically and intensively drilled to find new veins and bear fruitful “Zhuxi” results.
In addition to the Zhuxi mine, the prospects for prospecting in the Nanling area at the junction of Hunan, Jiangxi and Guangdong are also expected. The Nanjing Geological Survey Center of China Geological Survey found Nanshankeng large-scale tungsten-tungsten deposit and Liangyuan large antimony deposit in the southern section of Nanling, delineating the prospecting prospects of the Shantou rare earth deposit with large potential for resources, and realized the eastern section of Nanling. A major breakthrough in ore prospecting in the region.
Through the implementation of a series of projects, the Nanjing Geological Survey Center has achieved a breakthrough in the prospecting of tungsten tin, rare and rare earth deposits in the eastern section of the Nanling metallogenic belt. It has achieved good economic and social benefits, enriched and perfected the theory of tungsten tin, rare and rare earth ore mineralization, and preliminarily found out the tungsten tin, rare and rare earth in the eastern part of the Nanling metallogenic belt. The potential of ore resources further clarifies the prospecting direction in this area, and provides technical support and experience demonstration for tungsten tin, rare earth and rare earth minerals prospecting in this area.
