Difficulties in the development of tungsten carbide indexable inserts in China currently include:

I.    In recent years, China has implemented policies of macro-control and curtailment of bank facility. As a result, many mechanical machining enterprises, with low economic profits, can not afford buying new equipment or conducing technical reform.
II.    A large number of cutting tool manufacturers abroad set up factories and sales agents in China, resulting in increasingly fierce competition in China’s cutting tool market.
III.    Poor scientific and research capability of tungsten carbide indexable inserts in China. Due to the impact of market economy, many cutting cool research and manufacturing institutes are unwilling to spend a lot of money to do research work or can not afford it.
