Yellow Tungsten Oxide Electrochromic Film

Yellow tungsten oxide is also called tungsten trioxide (WO3). Tungsten trioxide is an electrochromic material that has been widely investigated and is expected to replace traditional energy-saving glasses. And WO3 thin film is the most favorable inorganic electrochromic film that has been researched. Some experts have prepared WO3 electrochromic film by the sol-gel method, and studied the effect of heat treatment temperature on the discoloration characteristics and structure of the obtained WO3 films.

Combining the closed area of the cyclic voltammetry curve and the ability of the film to combine with the substrate, the performance of WO3 film treated at 300 °C is better, and the discoloration efficiency of WO3 film prepared under this condition has reached 30.13cm2/C. The results of X-ray diffraction spectrum showed that WO3 film treated at 300 °C had higher crystallinity than the samples baked at room temperature and low temperature. Scanning electron microscopy results showed that there were obvious snowflake-like crystals on the surface of the sample after 300 °C treatment.
