Cr Doped Cesium Tungsten Bronze

Cr doped cesium tungsten bronze is an inorganic material with good infrared shielding properties. But do you know how Cr doping affects the optical performance of cesium tungsten bronze? Some experts use WCl6, CsOH·H2O and CrCl3·6H2O as raw materials, ethanol and acetic acid as solvents, to synthesize Cr-doped cesium tungsten bronze in one step via water controlled-release solvothermal method.

At the same time, experts used X-ray diffractometer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, energy spectrum analyzer, ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflection spectrum to characterize the crystal phase, binding energy, morphology, and element composition of materials. The effect of Cr doping on the optical properties of cesium tungsten bronze was also investigated. The results showed that the synthesized samples have hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 structure and the transmittance of the film made from the samples increases with the increase of Cr doping amount. When the molar ratio of Cr/W=0.01, the film still exhibits good infrared shielding performance and the average transmittance in the visible light region increases by 10%. Furthermore, the heat insulation efficiency of the sample improves by 73.4%. In addition, through the thermal insulation performance test, the temperature variation of the film is 6.4°C compared with a blank glass.
