Tungsten Trioxide Applied for Glass Dome Thermal Insulating Glass Coating

Tungsten trioxide is often doped with cesium element for producing glass dome thermal insulating glass coating, which is a new type of solar-radiation-shielding material, that is, a new heat-shielding material. Such transparent heat insulation coating reduces the solar radiation while holding the visible light transmittance.

In the heat-shielding material for building glass windows, fine particles with a heat-ray-shielding function are a mixture including at least one type of fine particles selected from the group consisting of lanthanum hexaboride, titanium nitride, and tungsten oxide and at least one type of fine particles selected from the group consisting of antimony-doped tin oxide, tin-doped indium oxide, and a composite tungsten oxide defined by a general formula of MYWOZ (0.001≤Y≤1.0, and 2.2≤Z≤3.0). And the visible light transmittance of the heat-shielding material is in the range of 70% or more. Besides, such coating is anti-glare. And it is UV-resistant. In a word, the glass dome thermal insulating glass coating of cesium doped tungsten trioxide nano particles is an environmentally friendly heat shielding coating against light pollution.
