Violet Tungsten Oxide Applied for Glass Thermal Insulation Coating

Violet tungsten oxide for glass thermal insulation coating can be prepared by solvothermal method. The following is a TEM image of W18O49 nanospheres, in which (a) is an electron diffraction pattern; (b) is a high resolution transmission electron micrograph. As you can see from the figure:

The solvothermally synthesized W18O49 nanospheres exhibited a distinct ring shape in the electron diffraction spectrum, indicating that the material was in a good crystalline state with few amorphous components. At the same time, the diffraction ring was somewhat divergent, indicating that the material was very small in size. After calibrated, the material is W18O49, and the crystal face index is shown in (a).

It can be seen from image (b) that the interplanar spacing of W18O49 nanospheres is 0.378nm, which is consistent with the (010) interplanar spacing of the monoclinic phase W18O49, indicating that the length of the nanowires grows along the [010] direction of W18O49. And the results of this analysis are consistent with the results of the XRD diffraction pattern.
