Mo doped WO3 nanowires film can be prepared by nanowire spraying. Experts amplified the preparation technology of this porous electrochromic film under laboratory conditions to prepare an electrochromic device of size of 10×10cm2. Experts also said that such spraying technology is expected to replace the vacuum coating process in the future, reducing the production cost of large-area electrochromic devices.

So, how to prepare Mo doped tungsten trioxide electrochromic film? Firstly, a high-quality Mo doped WO3 ultrafine nanowire with a diameter of about 3nm adhered by nano crystals is prepared by a low-temperature atmospheric pressure method, which can be uniformly dispersed in water to form a stable nano-ink. Next, the nanowires are sprayed on the heated FTO conductive glass, and the aligned nano crystals are secondarily grown into nanoparticles, resulting in nanowires breakage. Due to the cross-network structure of the nanowires, the porous electrochromic film was produced under the conditions without any soft and hard template ultimately.
