China's Molybdenum Product Import and Export Data for August 2025

According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2025, China's molybdenum product import volume reached 6,138.71 tons, decreased by 7.80% month-on-month, increased by 1.98% year-on-year; the import value was 1.01 billion yuan, increased by 5.15% month-on-month, increased by 10.80% year-on-year.

Among these, in August, China's imports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 835.60 tons, increased by 39.73% year-on-year; other molybdenum ores and concentrates were 4,420.91 tons, increased by 3.17% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 86.77 tons, increased by 6.38% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 3.03 tons, decreased by 98.20% year-on-year; other molybdates were 50.04 tons, decreased by 75.03% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 717.90 tons, increased by 8.71% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 201.00 kilograms, decreased by 83.70% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and sections, plates, sheets, strips, and foil were 16.73 tons, decreased by 7.06% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 5.85 tons, increased by 13.05% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 1.69 tons, increased by 23.57% year-on-year.

In August 2025, China's molybdenum product export volume reached 2,304.72 tons, decreased by 31.13% month-on-month, decreased by 42.87% year-on-year; the export value was 661 million yuan, decreased by 10.35% month-on-month, decreased by 31.61% year-on-year.

Among these, in August, China's exports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 923.15 tons, decreased by 46.08% year-on-year; other molybdenum ores and concentrates were 337.67 tons, decreased by 70.16% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 80.04 tons, decreased by 44.88% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 18.23 tons, decreased by 57.64% year-on-year; other molybdates were 18.80 tons, decreased by 55.58% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 462.80 tons, decreased by 9.61% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 62.25 tons, increased by 77.66% year-on-year; unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, was 181.68 tons, increased by 23.98% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and sections, plates, sheets, strips, and foil were 25.76 tons, decreased by 70.08% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 25.17 tons, decreased by 23.31% year-on-year; molybdenum waste and scrap were 120.73 tons, decreased by 9.02% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 48.43 tons, increased by 227.06% year-on-year.
