Rare earth market quotation in China: DyFe and dysprosium oxide prices increase slightly while neodymium oxide price remains unchanged on July 19, 2023. 

In the case of weak supply and demand, the agreement between buyers and sellers is low, so the buying and selling atmosphere in the market is weak, and the industry players have insufficient confidence in the market outlook. Currently, the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide and gadolinium oxide are consolidating around RMB 454,000/ton and RMB 260,000/ton respectively.

According to Chinatungsten Online, although affected by the recent bad weather and the current relative downturn in the rare earth market, the production speed of some rare earth smelting and separation enterprises has slowed down, but it is still difficult to offset the market damage caused by weak downstream demand and a slight increase in negative factors.

Negative factors include: recently, the semi-annual reports of rare earth listed companies have been released one after another, and the performance of many companies has dropped significantly, which has caused a certain degree of panic in the rare earth market; in June 2023, the production of terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide in China will increase by 7.6% and 7.4% month-on-month, respectively, which is not conducive to the heating up of the rare earth market.

News: In the first half of 2023, Northern Rare Earth is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to the parent of 1,017.05 million to 1,077.05 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 67.48% to 65.56%; deduction of non-net profit of 987 million to 1,047 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 67.71% to 65.75%. In the first half of 2023, China Rare Earth is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to the parent of RMB 37.00555 to 53.0055 million, a year-on-year decrease of 82.60% to 87.85%; non-net profit deducted from 36.002 million to 50.002 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 83.35% to 88.01%; basic earnings per share are 0.0377 to 0.0540 yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 82.61% to 87.86%.
