China tungsten price remained weak after the holiday of Dragon Boat Festival affected by the decline in long-term contract prices from listed tungsten companies. In addition, the import and export data of China's tungsten products in May was released, and the weakening export data reflected the pressure of external demand, which aggravated the market's trade concerns.

China’s Zhangyuan Tungsten released its long-term contract prices for the second half of June 2023: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $17,426.5/ton, down $73.5/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $17,205.9/ton, down $73.5/ton; APT price was $300.0/mtu, down $1.7/mtu compared with the first half of this month.

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high-grade black tungsten concentrate at $17,794.1/ton, down $73.5/ton from the first half of this month.

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price was $300.0/mtu, unchanged with the first half of June 2023.

Chinatungsten Online sorted out the data of the General Administration of Customs and learned that in May 2023, the cumulative export volume of China's tungsten products was 1933.79 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.61%, and a month-on-month decrease of 3.80%; the cumulative export value was 507 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.36%, and a month-on-month decrease of 5.21 %. Among them, the export of ammonium paratungstate was 65.5 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 57.85%, and a month-on-month decrease of 38.79%; the export of tungsten carbide was 355.32 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 27.60%, and a month-on-month decrease of 34.69%; the export of tungsten powder was 266.60 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.83%, and a month-on-month decrease of 9.63%.
