At the beginning of the week, China’s domestic rare earth market generally has traded sideways.
In a state of weak supply and demand, the buying and selling atmosphere on the market is low, and the price trend of light and heavy rare earths was slightly different, that is, the price of light rare earths is falling, while the price of heavy rare earths is slightly increased.
According to Chinatungsten Online, the main reason for the lack of market demand is that the current price of rare earths is relatively high compared with the previous period, and the current global economic recovery is still not very stable; the main reason for the difficulty in increasing the spot supply in the market is that some rare earths manufacturers have a strong awareness of taking the initiative to reduce production to avoid the risk of cost inversion.
In terms of news: In May 2023, the average sales prices per ton of Ganzhou high yttrium oxide (rare earth) and medium yttrium europium compound (rare earth) were 255,000 yuan and 200,000 yuan, respectively, a month-on-month decrease of 5.56% and 6.98%, respectively. Down 43.33% and 48.72%.
