China Rare Earth Prices - December 9, 2022

This week, China rare earth prices showed a slight upward trend overall. With the gradual increase of favorable factors in the market, sellers’ awareness of raising prices has increased compared with the previous week or two. However, due to the limited consumption capacity of downstream users, there is still a large room for market transactions to increase.

According to Chinatungsten Online, the price of praseodymium and neodymium oxide rose by about 15,000 yuan/ton this week, or 2.24%; the price of praseodymium and neodymium metal rose by about 25,000 yuan/ton, or 3.09%; dysprosium oxide rose about 65,000 yuan/ton, or 2.80%; dysprosium iron alloy rose about 40,000 yuan/ton, or 1.74%.

It can be seen that the price of praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium and terbium has risen sharply this week, mainly due to the recent implementation of ten optimized prevention and control measures in many places across the country, which will help the development of high-tech industries and reduce transportation resistance, thus heating up the rare earth market. Played a positive role; Affected by the unfinished epidemic in many places and the tightening of environmental protection policies, some rare earth manufacturers have limited production, resulting in a small stock of raw materials such as praseodymium and neodymium.
