Rare earth market quotation in China: praseodymium oxide, lanthanum oxide and dysprosium oxide prices continue to decline in the first trading day in September 2022. 

Under the influence of many negative factors in the market, traders' entry sentiment is generally low, so the trading atmosphere in the market is sluggish and the market outlook is not very optimistic. However, with the arrival of the "Golden Nine Silver Ten" season, market demand is expected to increase, coupled with little support from the increase in production costs and the supply of rare earth raw materials, there are still industry players who have certain expectations for the future market.

According to Chinatungsten Online, the unfavorable factors in the rare earth market include: the demand from downstream users is lower than expected; the current spot supply of rare earth raw materials is slightly loose; the panic of rare earth holders is high; the recent decline in commodity prices, etc.

The official website of Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone shows that from January to July 2022, 39 rare earth enterprises above designated size in Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone achieved a total industrial output value of 28.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 147%. 

From the perspective of industry type, raw material enterprises, new material enterprises, and terminal application enterprises achieved output values of 17.644 billion yuan, 8.99 billion yuan, and 1.386 billion yuan respectively, a year-on-year increase of 221%, 81.2%, and 54.6%, accounting for about 63% of the total output value. 32%, 5%. Among the new material enterprises, permanent magnet material enterprises, hydrogen storage material enterprises, and polishing material enterprises achieved output values of 8.504 billion yuan, 295 million yuan, and 191 million yuan respectively. In terms of economic type, the seven state-owned and state-controlled enterprises completed a total output value of 18.667 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 193.8%, accounting for 67% of the total output value of the rare earth industry.
