Dysprosium Oxide Price - July 1, 2022

This week, the overall focus of domestic rare earth prices moved down slightly. In the state of long-term weak demand from downstream users, the seller's market is slightly less confident in price stability, mainly reflected in the price of praseodymium neodymium oxide, terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide, which dropped slightly to 935,000 yuan/ton, 14,500 yuan/kg and 2,470,000 yuan/ton, respectively.

From the point of view of negative factors, first, the current price of rare earth raw materials is still relatively high and the traditional consumption off-season is approaching, which largely inhibits the enthusiasm of downstream users to purchase; second, under the influence of the current global economic growth not yet fully stabilized and the high level of panic among suppliers, most buyers are also cautious in their consumption to avoid the risk of inversion.

From the perspective of positive factors, first, due to the high temperature and heavy rains and poor market demand, the production capacity release rate of rare earth mining enterprises has slowed down. In addition, supported by production costs, stockholders are more reluctant to sell at lower prices; second, due to the favorable development prospects of rare earth downstream industries such as new energy vehicles, new infrastructure and energy-saving electrical appliances, there are still industry players who have great confidence in the future market.
