Pacific Bauxite Provides Update of Copper-Molybdenum Mineralization in Melbourne Project

Following its successful listing on the Australian Stock Exchange, Australian miner Pacific Bauxite (PBX) has provided its first update of copper-molybdenum mineralization. The company has commenced an exploration program focused on its assets in Western Australia, starting with the Melbourne project, which is located in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, just north of Perth.

Pacific Bauxite considers the Melbourne project to be prospective for copper-molybdenum mineralization similar to Caravel Minerals' nearby Caravel copper project. A recent geological review supports the strong potential of several magnetic anomalies on the project. The results also identify a possible extension of the greenstone zone hosting the high-grade Pithara deposit.

The first round of the exploration program is scheduled to be completed in mid-June, with field exploration to commence in July. the Darling Range PGE project is located approximately 75 km northeast of Perth, within the Western Gneiss Terrane on the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia.

The Darling Range area is considered highly prospective for bauxite, PGE, nickel, and copper mineralization. Discussions with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) are continuing. The exploration license application for the project ELA 70/5111 is in good standing and will be considered by the State Government once it has been assessed in accordance with the Perth Peel Region Green Growth Plan and the Strategic Assessment of Perth and Peel Regions (SAPPR) overview.

The permit application is adjacent to Chalice Mining's Julimar deposit to the south and Caspin Resources' Yarawindah Brook project to the north. PBX is strategically securing its position as one of the most highly regarded nickel mining districts in the world. To that end, the company plans to change its name to Western Yilgarn NL to more accurately reflect the location of its operations and projects.
