Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Acquires Large Uranium Mineral Claim Block

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium announced the acquisition of successive new claims in the Athabasca Basin region of northwest Saskatchewan, with a portion of the newly acquired Otherside uranium mineral claim block previously held by Appia.

The Otherside property is 27,291 hectares (67,437 acres) and is located approximately 50 kilometers south of Fond du Lac. The claims were identified based on geological and geophysical characteristics similar to the Company's Loranger uranium mineral property and other known high-grade, large-tonnage uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin, including Fission Uranium Corp's Triple R deposit, NexGen Energy's Arrow deposit, and others.

Appia currently owns a total of 69,344 hectares (171,351 acres) on four uranium claims (Otherside, Eastside, North Wollaston, and Loranger). Appia recently completed a 925 line kilometer airborne radiometric survey at North Wollaston and an additional 379 line kilometer airborne radiometric survey at Loranger completed an additional 379 line kilometers of airborne radiometric surveys to supplement the existing database. Additional VTEMTM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) surveys for North Wollaston and Loranger have begun in late 2021, but are not yet complete.

Appia has commenced the permitting process for a winter drilling program on the Loranger property and expects to begin drilling in approximately one month, depending on weather and permitting conditions. The Company is fully funded for the program.

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium recently provided an update on its 2021 exploration program, with the Company drilling a total of 100 core holes and collecting approximately 8,075 meters of diamond drill core. preliminary assay results from the Wilson North and Richards drill holes were announced on November 19, 2021, confirming some of the highest recorded rare earth grades found on the Alces Lake property to date.

In addition, high-grade rare earth mineralization has now been identified over approximately 27 square kilometers of the Alces Lake block. Preliminary assay results for channel and grab samples are available, but the Company is still awaiting further drill core and channel sample assay results from the 2021 program.

With the largest exploration and diamond drilling program in the Company's history over the past year, exploration results will be released as they are received and analyzed by the Company. Analysis of the summer exploration and drilling program will follow and may lead to the preparation of a NI 43-101 (technical report with 3D geophysical geological model) report in early 2022. The Alces Lake project includes some of the highest grade rare earth elements and gallium mineralization in a number of surface and near-surface monazite occurrences that are open at depth and strike.

The Alces Lake project area is located in northern Saskatchewan, a provincial jurisdiction developing Canada's "first-of-its-kind" rare earth processing facility. 35,682 hectares (88,173 acres) of the Alces Lake project area is 100% owned by Appia.

The critical rare earth elements here are defined as those in short supply (i.e.: neodymium (Nd), praseodymium (Pr), dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb)) used in permanent magnets and modern electronic applications such as electric vehicles and wind turbines.

To ensure that safe working conditions for the workforce are met, the company has established exploration guidelines that comply with the Saskatchewan Public Health Order and respect the Public Health Order of the Northern District of Saskatchewan to maintain social distance and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium is a publicly-listed Canadian company in the uranium and rare earth elements sector. The Company is currently focused on delineating high-grade key rare earth elements, gallium, and uranium on its Alces Lake property and exploring for high-grade uranium on its Otherside, Loranger, North Wollaston, and Eastside properties in the prolific Athabasca Basin. The Company holds 105,026 hectares (259,525 acres) of surface exploration rights in Saskatchewan. The Company also has a 100% interest in 12,545 hectares (31,000 acres) of the rare earth element and uranium mineral on five mineralized properties in the Elliott Lake Camp, Ontario.
