Neodymium Oxide Price - March 24, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, neodymium oxide and cerium oxide prices climb on March 24, 2021 owing to following favorable factors.

First, the stable but strong listed prices of South Rare Earths give the market a certain degree of confidence; second, the political turmoil in Myanmar and the customs closure policy have a certain impact on the supply of rare earth raw materials; third, under the vision of carbon neutrality, the control of raw materials production will become more stringent.

It is reported that the recent environmental inspections group is about to enter Ganzhou, some local rare earth smelting and separation enterprises have stopped production ahead of schedule, and the shortage of rare earth resources is expected to intensify. It is worth noting that the current fundamentals of actual supply and demand in the market are still stalemate, and the start-up load of rare earth metals is relatively high, but the consumption activity of downstream industries is relatively average, which puts some pressure on the spot market.

In terms of news, Minmetals Rare Earth recently stated that the prices of rare earth oxide products have shown an overall upward trend compared with the beginning of the year, and the prices of some oxide products have risen by more than 30%.
