Rare earth market quotation in China: the europium oxide, praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide prices edge lower on September 22, 2020 owing to continued weakness in the demand side and holiday atmosphere. Upstream sellers are will to sell their products and thus adjust offers downward for more orders.

In the light rare earth market, the overall situation is not very satisfactory. As the National Day holiday is approaching, downstream magnetic material companies basically maintain rigid purchases and reasonably control the growth rate of inventories. As a result, the supply of spot goods is slightly increased. Under the poor liquidity of funds, the wait-and-see atmosphere in the market is relatively strong, and traders' quotations have been lowered. The prices of praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide are below RMB 328,000/ton and RMB 358,000/ton respectively.

In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the overall pressure is obvious. Although there are many favorable factors such as the state reserve signal and the active construction of new and old infrastructure projects, market participants in the whole industry are not optimistic about the outlook. There is a certain room for negotiation.
