Chinese Rare Earth Prices - August 12, 2019

Chinese rare earth prices are unchanged from last week on relatively quiet market. Under the further intensification of Sino-US trade frictions and stricter environmental protection inspectors, most people in the industry have great hopes for the future market trend. 

Most mainstream mining companies offer relatively firm quotations, and the number of on-site enquiries has increased slightly, but due to unclear policy and low trading activity of downstream, the actual transaction volume is limited. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, affected by the high temperature climate, many manufacturers have increased the difficulty of mining, and the supply of raw materials has become increasingly tense. However, due to the weak demand of magnetic materials companies, traders are mostly cautious.
