Tungsten Mining Introduces IMS Microseismic Ground Pressure Monitoring System

Recently, Jiangxi Daishan Tungsten Industry brings in IMS microseismic ground pressure monitoring system for its tungsten mining, it is cooperated with Shanghai Pengxu Information Technology Co., Ltd.

This IMS system conforms to the actual engineering background of Dajishan Tungsten Industry perfectly, with an expectation to improving the mining safety level.

IMS system provides digital, intelligent and high-resolution seismic monitoring and control system, with online seismic information processing, analysis and visualization functions. The system is easy to use and can operate under Microsoft Windows or Linux operating system. Except for earthquake, many non-seismic geotechnical engineering sensors can also be used for monitoring. When the signal or some parameters exceed the threshold, it has the functions of alarm, control or shutdown. The system is based on modular design and easy to expand. It can be extended from a self-monitoring unit to a complex network connecting several stations. And provide 24-hour technical support around the clock.

In recent years, with the increasing exploitation of the middle section of the mine and the instability of the ground pressure activities, the mine is facing more and more ground pressure problems, and the geological disasters caused by rock excavation in the development of mineral resources are also need to face. The IMS microseismic ground pressure monitoring system is a scientific mine rock activity monitoring system, which can timely provide early warning of mine ground pressure activities and disasters, help miners to make targeted prevention in advance, and ensure mining activities safety and efficient resource recovery.

The construction of the IMS microseismic ground pressure monitoring system owns three main sections: one is the analysis and determination of monitoring area, the other is the reasonable selection of the microseismic monitoring sensor, and the third is the microseismic monitoring sensor display distribution and installation. According to information, Dajishan Tungsten Industry and Shanghai Pengxu Technology have jointly conducted a comprehensive investigation on the underground construction environment, analyzed the existing geological materials and ground pressure areas, combined with the actual conditions of the wells, avoiding the closed roadways and on-site investigation, construction environment characteristics, system monitoring objectives and reasonable layout technical requirements for sensor display. Finally, they set the IMS system in the middle three sections of the mines: 517m, 467m, 417m depth, each position is equipped with 7 sensors, 15 unidirectional sensors, 6 three-ways sensor, a total of 33 channels of sensor array system.

Compared with traditional ground pressure monitoring technology, IMS system owns advantages of all-weather, online real-time monitoring, three-dimensional spatial positioning, multi-user global remote terminal access, remote control analysis and real-time data transmission. As a real-time monitoring method of effectively predicting ground pressure disasters, IMS microseismic ground pressure monitoring technology will solve many problems, such as avoiding future geological disasters in tungsten industry mining, and play an important role in ensuring safe, efficient, and stable tungsten mining.
