Rare earth market quotation in China: domestic rare earth prices continue to show differences. Prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal edge lower while europium oxide price stabilizes. The supply in the industry chain is the main factor affecting price trends.

The medium and heavy rare earths are still boosted by the tightening of import volume, and the business confidence is firm; while oversupply of light rare earth products worries market participants. 

China had strengthened the clearance of Illegal rare earth production and suspended the approval of new mines since the end of 2016 to improve the industry concentration, according to analysis by investment companies. Due to the relative shortage of domestic heavy rare earth supply, China has increased its imports in Myanmar and has become a net importer of rare earths for the first time since 2018. However, the import of rare earths in Myanmar may be limited recently, and the domestic surplus situation is expected to improve.
