Chinese Tungsten Market Was Slow, with Little Spot Business Transacted

Tungsten prices in Chinese market have been maintained stability since September on weak buying interests. The cost for environmental protection and low product prices cutting profits raised sellers’ rised mentality in the tungsten concentrate market. Low-price products reduced while the demand remained weak.

Prices of ammonium paratungstate (APT), tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder came under pressure because the Chinese tungsten market was slow over the past week. Very little spot business was transacted, with some offers heard outside of the price range. At present, the supply and demand are still in a stalemate and insiders wait and see.
