Preparation of Carbon Vacancy-type Aluminum Solid Solution of Tungsten Carbide Powder

The present invention provides a method for preparing a carbon-vacancy-type aluminum solid solution of tungsten carbide powder. Specific steps are as follows:

1) The W [0.50] Al [0.50] as a reaction precursor binary alloys with particle size less than 300 mesh, purity greater than 95% of toner, according to alloy composition (W [0.50] Al [0.50]) C [1-x] x = 0.01-0.65 weighing in excess of 0-2% carbon;

2) After mixing into the milled graphite crucible, then put in the solid phase reactor in a vacuum or reducing atmosphere, heated to 1300-1600 ℃ under an inert atmosphere, heating rate of 45 ℃ / min, holding time of 50 to 100 hours;

3) During the reaction, samples were taken every 10-20 hours milling 30-60 minutes, and finally to obtain a high hardness (W [0.50] Al ↓ [0.50]) C [1-x] solid solution powder.
