It has been reported that nano heat insulation coating with high transparency can be prepared using PVB as film-forming agent and nano tungsten oxide particles as pigment. The basic performance, optical property and heat insulation effect of the coating was characterized. The results showed that the prepared PVB nano transparent heat insulation coating provided good heat insulation effect and visible light transmittance. When the mass ratio of pigment and substrate is 1:8, the transmittance of nano WO3 transparent heat insulation coating is over 80% at visible light region in the wavelength of 380-780 nm and its infrared shielding rate is more than 75% in the near infrared light of 800-2500 nm.
