Studies have shown that a tungsten oxide film may include a substrate, a tungsten oxide film formed on the substrate and composed of a mixture of crystalline tungsten oxide and amorphous tungsten oxide, and a first protective layer formed on the surface of the tungsten oxide film. Wherein, crystalline tungsten oxide mainly has a good shielding effect on infrared light above 1500nm, and amorphous tungsten oxide has a good shielding effect on infrared light between 900-1200nm. It means that the near-infrared shielding material - tungsten oxide film has good shielding performance in the wavelength of 900-1500nm, which may be used to glass curtain walls or large area window glass of buildings.
