Cs doped tungsten oxide nanoparticles, or Cs-doped WO3 nanoparticles, or cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles, or CsxWO3 nanoparticles, are often used to prepare nano-ceramic dispersion solution. And the prepared dispersion solution is usually mixed with an acrylic resin to produce heat insulating coating in which the dispersion takes up 20 wt%.

Then, the coating is applied to a transparent substrate by a wet-coating process, wherein the transparent substrate can be a glass substrate or a polymer film made of (PET), polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polycarbonate (PC), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acrylic resin, polyarylate (PAr), or cyclo-olefin polymer (COP). After the coating is dried at 120 °C for two minutes, a transparent heat insulation film is formed. And the transparent thin film produced has excellent infrared shielding ability and a high visible light transmittance. Therefore, these heat insulation films are mainly applied to glasses of buildings or autos to shield heat radiation and UV in the sunlight.
