It is reported that much less amount of LaB6 or Cs0.33WO3 is found to provide the same level of solar shielding effect or to obtain the same shading coefficient (per unit projected area through the film) compared to ITO and ATO. It means that Cs0.33WO3 has better heat insulation performance than ITO and ATO. Then, what is shading coefficient? Shading coefficient is defined as the ratio of the solar energy flowing into a vehicle or a room through an object to the solar energy which passes through 3 mm thick clear float glass. Thus, smaller shading coefficient provides better solar-control effect.
