According to the experts, such an energy-saving window can be prepared by coating the mixed dispersed solution of Cs0.32WO3 with organic silicon resin on glass substrate. The results of thermal insulation characterized by UV-Vis-NIR spectra show that NIR transmittance of glass substrate is 82% and that of the as-prepared energy-saving glass of high NIR shielding performance is only around 12%, which is reduced dramatically. Besides, such a NIR shielding window has high transparency to transmit visible light. In a word, the rod-like Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles with high NIR absorption have promising prospects in the fields of automotive and architectural glass.
