Ball-milling is conducive to the dispersion of Cs0.33WO3 powders. Uniform particle size and stable colloidal Cs0.33WO3 dispersion could be obtained by ball-milling for 3 h with 1 mm size of ZrO2 bead, and the optimum quantity of beads was determined to be 5 or 6 times the weight of the Cs0.33WO3 suspension liquid. Polyvinyl alcohol and titanate coupling agent have better dispersion effect on Cs0.33WO3 colloidal solution than poly-carboxylic salt dispersant. In addition, adding appropriate dispersant after ball-milling could further improve the Cs0.33WO3 colloidal dispersion stability, which is favorable for Cs0.33WO3 particles continuous distribution in the coatings and improving its near-infrared shielding properties.
