Cesium Tungsten Oxide Applied for Glass Curtain Wall

Cesium tungsten oxide such as Cs0.33WO3 nanopowder is mainly used to prepare transparent heat insulation film for applying to glass curtain wall so that the glass will have high visible light transparency and excellent near-infrared shielding ability. In the preparation process, the experts conducted a kind of sedimentation accelerating test by centrifugation to evaluate the effects of dispersant on the dispersion stability of Cs0.33WO3 colloidal solution.

First, a certain amount of dispersant (1 wt%, 2.5 wt% and 4 wt%) was added into the colloidal particle solution after ball-milling, and the solution was stirred continuously for 20 min and ultrasonic dispersed for 10 min. Then the colloidal particle dispersion was centrifuged at 5000 r/min for 10 min. Finally, the absorbance of the supernatant was measured by UV-visible spectrophotometer at 560 nm. The visible light transparency and near-infrared shielding ability of Cs0.33WO3 coatings were characterized using UV-visible spectrophotometer at 300-1100 nm range.
