Mo-doping Tungsten Oxide Electrochromic Film Applied for Thermal Insulating Glass

Mo-doping tungsten oxide electrochromic film for thermal insulating glass can be prepared by spray coating method. Experts have found that the electrochromic devices assembled with a Mo-doped WO3 nano film prepared by spray coating have a small light modulation range in the visible region. According to experts, this is because the prepared tungsten trioxide electrochromic film has poor electrochromic properties. So, what make the electrochromic performance of tungsten oxide electrochromic film poor?

Experts analyzed that the reason may be: In the spraying process, the heat treatment temperature is too high or the heat treatment time is too long, resulting in the pyrolysis of the physically adsorbed water in tungsten trioxide film, the analysis of chemical structure water and the volatilization of solvents such as ethylene glycol, and the polycondensation of the internal structure of WO3 film. And these will result in polycondensation of the internal structure of film, a decrease in porosity and structure densification of film. In this process, the film is converted from an amorphous state to a crystalline state. And it is difficult for Li+ to be embedded in WO3. So, there is a decrease in electrochromic performance.
