A method of preparing cesium tungstate nano heat insulating water-based coating, wherein, by weight percentage, comprising the following components: 10-30% of cesium tungstate nano heat insulation slurry, 30-65% of aqueous resin, 1-10 % coating additive, 15-55% solvent. The aqueous resin is aqueous polyurethane resin or aqueous acrylic resin; and the coating additive includes at least one of a dispersing agent, a film forming aid, a leveling agent, an antifoaming agent, and a thickening agent. According to the above formula, the cesium tungstate nano heat insulation slurry is added to the aqueous resin, stirred and dispersed for 10-30 minutes, and then added with a coating additive and a solvent, and stirred and uniformly mixed to obtain cesium tungstate nano heat insulating water-based coating.
