CsxWO3 Powder Applied for Transparent Thermal Insulation Nanopowder

CsxWO3 powder, or cesium tungsten bronze powder, may be applied for preparing transparent thermal insulation nanopowder, so the obtained nano powder may have excellent shielding properties on infrared, especially near-infrared, and therefore be used for preparing related thermal insulation products such as thermal insulation films. With the promotion of the application of these new heat insulation products, scholars and experts are paying more and more attention to the preparation of cesium tungsten bronze. The following is the preparation process of cesium tungsten bronze.

Preparation of CsxWO3 Powder

Step 1: Potassium tungstate solution with a concentration of 0.5mol/L is exchanged with the strong acid ion exchange resin to obtain tungstic acid sol; during the process, the H+ in the strong acid ion exchange resin is exchanged with Ka+ in potassium tungstate. Thereby, potassium tungstate forms tungstic acid.

Step 2: Add the citric acid solution and the cerium carbonate solution to the tungstic acid sol prepared in step 1, and then mixing the mixture to obtain hydrothermal reaction precursor liquid; wherein the molar concentration ratio of tungstic acid, citric acid and cesium ion is 1: (0.1-0.5): (0.1-0.5).

Step 3: The precursor liquid prepared in the step 2 is subjected to hydrothermal reaction in an autoclave with a temperature of 160-180°C and a pressure of 0.8-1MPa, and the hydrothermal reaction time is 24-26 hours. After the completion of the reaction, the washing treatment and drying treatment are carried out to obtain cesium tungsten bronze powder.
