Cesium Tungsten Oxide Powder Applied for Transparent Thermal Insulation Material

Cesium tungsten oxide powder may be applied for producing transparent thermal insulation material, which is a new type of environmentally-friendly transparent heat-insulating water-based nano-coating that may be used in architectural glass and automotive glass for high heat insulation and high transparency.

It is well known that the dispersion and stabilization of nano grain size cesium tungsten oxide in coating systems is the key to the development of transparent heat-insulating water-based nano-coatings. Therefore, some experts use polyurethane-acrylate (PUA) waterborne resin as the base material, and use nano particle size cesium tungsten oxide (CWO) slurry as filler to prepare waterborne transparent heat insulating glass coating, which may be applied to architectural glass. The obtained heat-insulating glass has a transmittance in the visible light region (380-780nm) of about 78%, a shading coefficient of 0.65, and an insulation of 25°C or more. Also, such thermal insulation material has excellent weather resistance with long service life.
