Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

In March 2024, Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) forecasts the tungsten average prices and the long-term contract prices of major tungsten enterprises for the first half of the month have been gradually released, confirming the upward trend of recent tungsten raw material prices, while continuing to boost market confidence.

During the Two Sessions period, the tungsten market overall remains firm and cautious, paying attention to news related to consumption incentives and the release of future resource quantities.

GTA forecasts the domestic tungsten market average prices for March 2024 as follows: 55% black tungsten concentrate at $17,642.9/ton, an increase of $214.3/ton compared to February; ammonium paratungstate (APT) at $297.0/mtu, an increase of $3.2/mtu; medium-grain tungsten powder at $40.0/kg, an increase of $0.3/kg compared to February.

Zhangyuan Tungsten's long-term contract prices for the first half of March 2024 (including 13% value-added tax) are as follows: black tungsten concentrate (WO3 ≥ 55%) at $17,642.9/ton, an increase of $214.3/ton compared to the second half of February; white tungsten concentrate (WO3 ≥ 55%) at $17,428.6/ton, an increase of $214.3/ton; ammonium paratungstate (national standard, grade zero) at $297.0/mtu, an increase of $3.2/mtu compared to the second half of February.

Jiangxi Tungsten’s quotation for high-grade black tungsten concentrate for the first half of March 2024 is $17,857.1/ton, an increase of $214.3/ton compared to the second half of February.

Xiamen Tungsten's long-term procurement price for ammonium paratungstate for the first half of March 2024 is $295.4/mtu, an increase of $1.6/mtu compared to the second half of February.
