Terbium Oxide Prices - December 18, 2023

At the beginning of the week, Chinese rare earth market showed signs of stabilization after a period of decline. This is primarily attributed to the prolonged and significant decline in rare earth prices, leading many rare earth products to approach the cost line.

Consequently, suppliers are compelled to be more cautious in selling to enhance profitability. However, due to the low operating rates of magnetic material enterprises and the willingness of many suppliers to exchange quantity for price in order to recoup funds, there still exists considerable risk in the future. Investors should exercise caution. According to information from Chinatungsten Online, the current prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide and terbium oxide are hovering around 451,000 yuan/ton and 8,000 yuan/kg, respectively.

In terms of news, data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicates that in November 2023, China's total import and export of goods amounted to 37.004 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. Exports amounted to 20.956 trillion yuan, reflecting a 1.7% increase, while imports amounted to 16.048 trillion yuan, showing a 0.6% increase. From January to November, the total import and export of goods reached 37.9587 trillion yuan, holding steady year-on-year. Exports amounted to 21.6038 trillion yuan, growing by 0.3%, while imports reached 16.3549 trillion yuan, declining by 0.5%.
