China Tungsten Price Stabilized with the Market Showing Mixed Sentiments

At the beginning of the week, China tungsten price remained relatively stable, with the market showing mixed sentiments and a predominant supply-demand dynamic. 

Leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the market's purchasing and stocking activities fell short of expectations, resulting in subdued buying interest. However, sellers had limited willingness to offer discounts, leading to an overall stalemate in spot market negotiations.

The price of tungsten concentrate remained above $17,142.9/ton, with limited actual transactions. There was some disparity between holders and downstream users regarding acceptable price levels, and as a result, the market primarily operated on an as-needed basis, with trading discussions generally stagnant.

Ammonium paratungstate (APT) price held steady around $290.6/mtu. There were no significant updates in market news, and the supply-demand situation continued to be characterized by a standoff. Traders in the market maintained a cautious approach, with a focus on observing and conducting transactions as needed ahead of the upcoming holidays.

The price of tungsten powder remained relatively stable at around $38.9/kg. Industry participants expressed concerns about the consumption situation in the alloy sector, leading to limited enthusiasm for purchasing and stocking raw materials in the short term. Powder manufacturers showed limited initiative in increasing production volumes, resulting in a temporarily stable market situation in the present context.
