Rare earth market quotation in China: praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, holmium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices decline slightly on July 12, 2023 mainly due to weak market demand, increased production of some raw materials, and lack of confidence in suppliers' price stability. 

Currently, traders are basically trading on long orders. However, in order to avoid the risk of cost inversion, suppliers have limited room for profit sharing.

According to Chinatungsten Online, the main reason for the difficulty in increasing market demand is that it is currently in the off-season of traditional consumption, and the operating rate of magnetic material enterprises is generally low. The trading price of rare earth concentrates in the third quarter of this year has dropped significantly. Traders’ mentality of "buying up or not buying down" is serious, and the release rate of production capacity of some rare earth manufacturers has not slowed down. 

In addition, in June 2023, China's output of praseodymium neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal was 6,194 tons and 5,268 tons respectively, a year-on-year increase of 7.9% and 6.5% respectively; it is worth mentioning that the output of rare earth oxides in Guangdong, Guangxi and Jiangsu also increased rapidly.

In terms of news: According to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in June 2023, my country's automobile production and sales will complete 2.561 million and 2.622 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 2.5% and 4.8% respectively; Year-on-year growth of 32.8% and 35.2% respectively. In June 2023, 382,000 complete automobiles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 53.2%; 78,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times.
