Ferro Molybdenum Price - Dec. 26, 2018

Molybdenum market quotation in China: the latest prices of ferro molybdenum, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide declined sharply in the midweek December 26 due to poor performance in steel tenders. 

Steel mills delayed their plans to purchase ferromolybdenum and forced prices down, which weakened confidence of ferromolybdenum manufacturers. Therefore, ferro molybdenum market transferred the pressure to the raw material side, leading to the decline in molybdenum concentrate prices. Large mines in Heilongjiang province, China lowered down their offer levels. With the approaching of Chinese New Year, the market will continued to come under pressure.
