Cesium doped tungsten oxide nanopowder, also known as cesium tungsten bronze nanopowder, is becoming one of a potential transparent heat shielding material --- transparent thermal insulation nanopowder. It is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. And the manufacturing cost is not very high. So, it is more and more widely applied to the field of building and automotive glass.

It is well accepted that cesium doped tungsten oxide is a typical tungsten bronze material with wonderful near infrared shielding performance, but recent theoretical calculated results have indicated that alkali metal-codoped tungsten oxide would have better infrared barrier properties. And experts have successfully synthesized the monodoped and codoped-WO3 by one-step solvothermal method with tungstate acid as the tungsten source, and CsCl, RbCl as cesium source and Rb source, respectively. The samples were characterized by UV-VIS-NIR transmittance spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. And it was found that the products were no impure phase and showed good crystallinity, irregularly agglomerated with diameters of 20-100nm, well dispersed.
