Tungsten Mining Managing Director, Paul Berndt, said the excellent high-grade results received from the drilling confirms the Company’s belief in the Kilba Project and justify its focus on the rapid evaluation and development of the Kilba Project.

“To this end the Company has engaged CSA Global to model mineralisation present at Zone 11 with the objective of producing a JORC-compliant Resource by May,” Mr Berndt said. “We are on target to create significant project value at Kilba, by completing a feasibility study within a year." The final analytical results have been received from 46 of the 59 holes drilled in 2013, confirming the high-grade nature of coarse grained scheelite mineralisation present.

China  tungsten concentrate prices are stable now. The tungsten concentrate prices increased sharply last week, and most of the market participants watch the market for a while, and do not eager to make deals in the spot market.

A source from a tungsten concentrate factory the  output is around 70-80tons.

Tungsten Mining NL  reported that drilling continues to intersect significant high-grade tungsten mineralisation at the Kilba Project in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia. To date the Company has drilled 24 diamond holes and 43 reverse circulation (RC) holes for a total of 7116 metres.

Tungsten Mining NL  commenced drilling in November 2012 to confirm the presence of high-grade tungsten mineralisation at the Kilba Project indicated by historic drilling completed by Union Carbide Corporation in the 1970s/1980s. Current drilling is targeting Zone 11 located on the 100% owned and granted Mining Lease 08/314 (Figure 1). 

Exploration has completed an 80 metre by 40 metre spaced drill pattern over the main 900 metres of outcropping mineralisation at Zone 11. Broader spaced drilling has also tested strike extensions on 80 to 160 metre spaced sections, for a further 300 metres.

European Ammonium Paratungstate (APT) market remains quiet despite the increasing China export prices.

China APT export prices increased by around USD10mtu last week to range between USD350-360mtu CIF Rotterdam as of Friday and domestic prices also increased sharply as tungsten concentrate suppliers pulled back from offering material, forcing prices to increase.

Despite this, movement in Europe continued at a downbeat pace and prices held unchanged hovering around the USD340mtu in warehouse Rotterdam level on Friday. One European dealer of ammonium paratungstate(APT) commented that the large European tungsten consumers from the hard metal and tooling sectors were only entering the market to test.
