Tips & Warnings for Tungsten Rings Cleanout

Tungsten is so hard that it has to be cut and polished with the same types of tools that are used to cut and polish diamonds. Ordinary tools will not even dent this beautiful metal. One of the best things about tungsten is that it is nearly maintenance free and holds its brilliance and shine with little or no help from you. However, if you really need to clean your tungsten rings, the following tips and warnings should be kept in mind:

First, if your tungsten ring has silver or gold inlays, they will need to be polished with silver or gold polish periodically.

Second, do not leave a tungsten ring in an ultrasonic cleaner for more than one minute. While the metal is quite resilient, tungsten rings are originally made from powdered metal and too much time in an ultrasonic cleaner can cause them to deteriorate.
