How to Measure Your Finger for Wide Band Rings

Properly measuring your finger before purchasing a ring prevents the ring from sliding off of your finger during your everyday activities. Although you can purchase a ring sizer for use at home most jewelry stores, from Jared's to Tiffany and Cos., can properly size your finger.

1.Pick a ring sizer that looks close to your ring size. When you slide on the sizer you want it to be slightly snug and hard to pull off.

2.Remove the current ring sizer and move down to the smaller size until you find a ring that fits snugly. Ring sizes rang from 4 up to over 10. The ring sizes adjust by half. Continue sizing your finger until you find the best fit.

3.Inform the jeweler of your ring size when purchasing your ring. This will keep you from having to return the ring to have it resized.
