Soybean oil based polyol is a widely used non-toxic plasticizer and stabilizer of pvc.

It can give the product good mechanical strength, weather resistance and electrical properties, and no toxicity, is internationally recognized for food packaging materials chemical process aids.
The soybean oil-based polyol by epoxy soybean oil oxidation preparation method, the traditional preparation of vegetable oil-based polyols is the use of liquid acid as the catalyst, but its drawback is that after the end of the reaction catalyst residues in the products, the impact of product performance in a certain extent.

The experimental optimization of soybean oil-based polyol preparation conditions for reaction time 3 h and phosphotungstic acid mesoporous molecular sieve catalyst for epoxy soybean oil quality of 3%, 1, 13: molar ratio of methanol to oil the reaction temperature is 75 DEG C response. Under these conditions, the conversion rate of soybean oil based polyol obtained was 77.25%. The conversion rate was similar to that of traditional process, but the purity was better.
