Dart shaft is unfinished dart barrel. The most critical part of a dart is the dart barrel, which is held by people when throwing darts. And it’s the dart's main weight. Therefore, there’re different dart shape according to different parts of the weight.

At present, the standard barrel material is tungsten alloy. Tungsten has a specific gravity of 19.3 (20 degree Celsius), so it is a high-density material. Because of its special properties, tungsten alloy is the best material for making darts. It is difficult to produce 100% of tungsten alloy dart shafts. Very pure tungsten can be sawn (pure tungsten is brittle). Therefore, in fact, the market called "whole tungsten" is made of tungsten alloy. Tungsten alloy is tungsten after smelting, which has lustre, great hardness, high melting point, and stable chemical properties. Tungsten alloy darts are slender when they are designed for greater weight. As a result of these outstanding comprehensive performances, tungsten alloy dart shaft is also widely used in the manufacture of the dart barrel.

 

 

Tungsten alloy darts have become the preferred darts for many top experts and nearly all professional dart players at home and abroad for their characteristics of smaller size(easy for gripping), environmental friendly, and stable flight path, etc. In addition, tungsten alloy dart shaft has high tensile strength, high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and good mechanical properties, etc.

 

We can provide different shapes and proportions of dart barrel, which is usually made of 70 to 90% of tungsten, weight is 14-18 grams and 40-18 grams. Sometimes we also can offer 65% and 95-97% of the tungsten dart according to customers’ requirements.
