Doped tungsten wire, usually called anti sagging tungsten wire, tungsten aluminum wire.

Its main feature is the addition of dispersion strengthening elements, silicon (Si), aluminum (Al) and potassium (K) in tungsten, the interlocking inner grain structure of "dovetail joint" is formed, which improves the high temperature creep resistance of tungsten wire.
On the basis of the doped tungsten wire, a small amount of other human elements such as Fe, Co, La, Ce, Th and so on can be prepared to resist the doping of tungsten wire.
After the addition of trace elements such as Si, Al and K, the pure tungsten filament forms K bubbles in the tungsten wire, and the K bubbles are homogeneously dispersed in the tungsten wire, high temperature prevents grain boundary sliding and grain growth, and greatly improves recrystallization temperature of tungsten wire ( The recrystallization temperature of pure tungsten wire is about 1400 °C, and the recrystallization temperature of doped tungsten wire is about 2100 °C ). As a result, the doped tungsten wire has nearly 50% higher temperature resistance than the pure tungsten wire.
The capacity of ordinary doped tungsten wire is acceptable in China, generally speaking, the tungsten doped tungsten filament is obtained by blue tungsten oxide ( WO2.9 ), not yellow tungsten ( WO3 ) nor violet tungsten ( WO2.72 ), this is because WO2.9 has the best compatibility characteristics. The doped tungsten wire doped in WO2.9 is not only easy to control the processing technology, but also has better anti sag property and plasticity than the tungsten filament doped in WO3. The main tungsten producer in China mainly adopts this method to produce common doped tungsten wire.
According to the number of K elements contained in the doped tungsten filament, the doped tungsten filament can be divided into two different grades W31 and W61. The doped tungsten wire is mainly used in ordinary lighting, incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, energy-saving lamp with environmental protection, and lighting electrode, etc.. However, it is necessary to know that the microstructure of common doped tungsten wire is prone to recrystallization at high temperature, as the grain of tungsten is recrystallized after recrystallization, the yield strength decreases by more than 50% at room temperature and is easily broken. This is why the common doped tungsten wire in aviation, ships, airport runway, special vehicles and other fields strong in will but weak in power.
