Dart is a very interesting sport, because unlike other events, it is not a confrontational sport, but a game with oneself that anyone can take part in.

Don't underestimate darts. It tests the physical and psychological stability of a person, especially in the stadium, a little bit of distraction, or a little ups and downs,you may not get good results. Therefore, dart is an excellent exercise for developing a calm and patient character.

 

Dart players need to concentrate on staring at the target, so you can feel better the coordination of hand, eye , body and mind to hit the bull's-eye. Some children who like playing darts are competitive. They love being the first. In order to get better grades, they will devote themselves entirely to it, which will strengthen children's attention.

 

Beijing Fifty-Seventh Middle School has offered a selective course on dart, which named as "China Youth Darts demonstration school" by the International Darts Federation. In 2012, the school offered the elective course in junior high and senior high school, hoping to let students know about darts, and to use darts as a medium to improve skills in social, mental adjustment and etiquette.

 

 

Zhou Hanfeng, a junior high school student, was one of the students who take dart classes. He began to have this dart class in the second semester of the grade seven. He said: "At the beginning, I can do nothing. With the increases of practice, you will begin to have hand handle and improve. I think the feel of dart is very important. Every time before the game, warm-up exercises include not only adaption to the venue, but also your own feel. During practice, there will be a period that the grades are stagnant and even volatile, but once after this period, it will go to a new level." Obviously, dart not only improve the child's ability to resist pressure, but also to teach children to learn to adhere to.

 

Xia Qiuyu, a teacher of dart, said: "dart is a game against yourself. There’s no opponent, what you need to do is to conquer yourself. Because in the future, no matter what you do, you really need to be calm, and make accurate judgments in any situations. We will let students participate in  competitions. Because of the particularity of the project, they practice and compete separately, I could not follow every student, so I would wait for them at the rendezvous. This is a way to improve their self-care ability." The teacher hopes that in the future, there will be more students  to learn about dart and participate in it.
