Wolframite Slime Recycle – Maudsley Tabling Gravity Separation Method

Wolframite slime is a beneficiation problem due to its fine grain size. In China, use flotation method to deal with wolframite slime is common method. At abroad, Maudsley tabling gravity separation method is used to realize wolframite slime recycle.

Maudsley tabling gravity separation is newly developed these years. After improving and upgrading for several times, it can now deal with mineral grain with size 5~100um. At abroad, Maudsley tabling method uses Maudsley tabling coarse machine and cross flow belt beneficiation machine. It is standard for wolframite slime recycle.

Maudsley tabling gravity separation is processed on the slope with composite belt. Mineral grains is sent out from inlet groove, then is supplied by water tank. Minerals grain is processed under inertia and force of friction under dissymmetry movement of surface layer, layered by proportion and grain size. According to different proportion and grain size, it is separated into concentrate, middlings and tailings.

Maudsley tabling gravity separation method can obtain recycle rate of 70%, one time higher than whole table reelection. However, it is not higher than high intensity magnetic flotation method and centrifugation flotation method in recycle rate, so it is seldom applied in China.
